REBRANDING THE SLAMBALL LEAGUE BRAND IDENTITY

After a 20-year hiatus, the sport of SlamBall made a triumphant return in July 2023, electrifying fans in Las Vegas with its hybrid of basketball, football, and hockey. The sport’s unique gameplay—featuring trampolines, high-flying dunks, mid-air collisions, and hockey-style body checks—offers an adrenaline-packed experience that redefines athletic entertainment.

Gameplan Creative captured the essence of SlamBall with a dynamic league logo that reflects the sport’s jaw-dropping aerial action. The design features a powerful player dunking pose within metallic gold and black rhomboids, paired with a custom italicized font that mirrors the logo’s energy. This cohesive branding sets the stage for a bold and unmistakable identity.

The creative challenge of designing logos for eight teams playing at a single Las Vegas venue was met with innovative solutions. Without city affiliations, team wordmarks are the focus on jerseys, ensuring maximum brand visibility and player recognition. Each logo features vibrant, saturated colors and secondary marks for versatility across uniforms, broadcasts, and digital platforms, reinforcing fan connections and establishing SlamBall as a powerhouse in the evolving sports landscape.
