GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS

NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION
TEAM REBRANDING

In 1997-98, NBA Creative Director Tom O’Grady collaborated with the Golden St. Warriors to rebrand the clubs’ identity. The new direction expanded the team’s previous HS royal blue and yellow color scheme and featured a superhero type warrior and holding a lightning bolt. O’Grady led two separate uniform design updates, the first one coinciding with the 1997 new logo launch. The second Warriors uniform re-design in 2002-03 established breakthrough fabrication attributes included a new scoop neckline as well as a secondary logo placement on the outside part of the uniform shorts never seen before on an NBA uniform.
